Gir cow ghee is made from the milk of Gir cows, one of the oldest native cow breeds in India. Gir cow milk is considered the best to obtain ‘Omega-3 cow ghee.
Milk is boiled, then curdled overnight. The curd is churned through the traditional Bilona method to obtain butter and then slowly heated producing a golden ghee. Rich & creamy with a smooth texture, it's high in nutrients including fats, vitamins & minerals; & a good source of Vitamin A.
It also contains anti-inflammatory butyric acid & is more ethical than other ghee due to Gir cows' gentle disposition. Nutrient-rich & health-promoting, it's used in Indian dishes & Ayurvedic medicine.
